Apply for the Vietnam Global Leaders Scholarship at the University of Queensland in Australia. The Vietnam Global Leaders Scholarship is dedicated to high achieving students from Vietnam. This scholarships aims to offer students the opportunity to further their studies in UQ’s Faculty of Business, Economics and Law.

The scholarship will give Vietnamese students the opportunity to challenge them selves academically and help them develop the skills to thrive in constantly changing and competitive business environments. Scholarship are exclusively awarded to students from Vietnam. Applicants must be studying an undergraduate or a postgraduate coursework program at the Faculty of Business, Economics and Law at the University of Queensland in Australia.

Benefits

If selected for the scholarship, you will receive the following benefits

• The scholarship grant is worth between $5,000 – $10,000 aimed at covering the student’s tuition fee.
• Real scholarship amount will be awarded to successful applicants as will be decided by the selection committee
• You will also have the opportunity to join an elite UQ Global Leaders community of high achievers throughout your studies.
• Scholarship recipients will also receive exclusive invitations to selected several seminars, presentations, and events throughout their studies.

Eligibility

To be eligible, you need to fulfill the following criteria:

• Applicants must be citizens of Vietnam in order to apply and be considered for the scholarship
• Candidates must be students who normally reside in Vietnam and are not already undertaking any studies in Australia. Those studying English in Australia are still eligible to apply.
• You may not hold any other scholarship simultaneously which covers tuition fees.
• Applicants must have received an offer for a relevant undergraduate or postgraduate coursework program at the time of application.
• You must be a prospective student about to commence your studies at UQ
• Please note that the opportunity is not open to currently enrolled UQ students, or students studying at UQ on study abroad or exchange.
• These scholarships are awarded solely based on academic excellency and therefore only high achieving students are encouraged to apply.

Application

In order to be considered for the scholarship, you must apply for your chosen degree program first before applying for this scholarship. The scholarship application is submitted online using the online form provided. There are two (2) application sessions each year and close on the following dates each year.

• 30 November for students entering semester 1
• 30 May for students commencing semester 2.

Along with your online application form, you must attach the following documents

• You most recent CV/resume
• A well written personal/motivational statement worth around 1,000 words addressing the following topics
  1. Elaborate the reasons for your interest in your chosen degree program. Please explain why you wish to study this program at UQ
  2. Outline your personal goals and ambitions and give evidence of any previous activities or experiences demonstrating your commitment to those goals and ambitions. 
• Request one (1) reference letter in English from teaching staff at your institution or from an employer.
