Apply for the Artificial Intelligence and Data Science Postgraduate Conversion Scholarship at the University if Sussex in the United Kingdom. Scholarships are offered for various degree programmes at postgraduate (Master’s degree) level in the United Kingdom. This scholarship is made possible by funding from the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) and the Office for Artificial Intelligence (OAI).
The main aim of the scholarship is to increase diversity in the AI and data science sector and in so doing support students from underrepresented groups by giving them the ability to access, participate and succeed in higher education. In general, the scholarship is open to both International applicants as well as domestic(UK based) students.
The university is offering a total of 16 scholarships to eligible deserving students. This scholarship is in form of a cash award worth £10,000. The Artificial Intelligence and Data Science Postgraduate Conversion Scholarships will be prioritized for black students, female students and students with disabilities.

Eligibility
To be eligible, you need to fulfill the following criteria:
- Applicants may be domestics students who are applying for one of the eligible master’s degree programmes at the university of Sussex
- Special consideration will also be give to students in the following categories
- Students from areas of the UK where young people are less likely to go on to higher education
- Care experienced students,
- Estranged students, Gypsy, Roma, Traveler students,
- Refugees and children from military families, veterans and partners of military personnel
- Candidates must be applying for one of the following Master’s degree programmes
- MSc Artificial Intelligence and Adaptive Systems
- An MSc Data Science
- MSc Human and Social Data Science

Please remember that to be considered for the scholarship, you must have applied, received and accepted an offer to study for one of the eligible degree programmes. Your application must be completed online using the online application form, and summitted by the deadline of September 1, 2024.
As part of your application, you will be required to submit an academic statement covering the following aspects
- Include any relevant extra-curricular or work experience you have had
- Elaborate your motivation for choosing the course
- Explain how the scholarship will help you achieve your goals, dreams and ambitions
