Apply for the Université de Lyon (ENS) Ampère & MILYON Scholarships for 2025. The École Normale Supérieure de Lyon (ENS) and its partners offer each year, several scholarships for excellent international students who wish to enrol in one of the eligible Masters programs in the Exact Sciences, the Arts, and Human and Social Sciences. The scholarships are dedicated to international applicants who fulfil the eligibility conditions for the scholarships. The University offers two types of scholarships
- The Ampère Scholarships of Excellence is offered to students who are applying for enrolment into a Master’s program in Exact Sciences, the Arts, and Human and Social Science
- GRADUATE + Scholarship is offered to students applying for a Masters degree in one of the following programmes
- DynLifeSys (Multiscale dynamics of living systems) : Biosciences, Biosciences for modeling of complex systems
- MathInfi (Mathematics, foundations of computer sciences and interactions) : application page
- PACE (Physics, Astro, Chemistry, Earth)
- CORE (Conflits and Recompositions in a globalized World) : European studies, Advanced Economics
The École Normale Supérieure de Lyon is located in Lyon, France and is an elite French public institution that with a proud history of training professors, researchers, senior civil servants as well as business and political leaders. Founded in 1880, the ENS de Lyon is part of the Université de Lyon and supports quality research and is part of the IFÉ, a French research and innovation platform dedicated to educational issues in connection with local field actors and a large international network of educational communities.
Benefits
Selected applicants for the scholarships will be eligible for the following benefits
- The scholarships are worth 1,000€ a month during one or two academic years
- Renewable for 12 months in Masters Year 2 provided the candidate is selected by the head of the Masters program and validates the Masters Year 1.
- The Ampère Scholarship awarded for a predetermined Master’s Program and an initial duration of 12 months.
- The GRADUATE + scholarship are worth of 1,000€ a month
Eligibility
Ampère Scholarships
- You must be a foreign national applying for admission at the École Normale Supérieure de Lyon (ENS). Applicants who have French nationality aren’t eligible to apply
- Two (2) of the 20 scholarships offered are specifically dedicated to applicants from Romania.
- Applicants must have a maximum of 26 years
- Candidates must be applying for their first year of Masters study ore are already in their second and last year
- For applicants applying for their first masters year, you must provide proof that you have obtained a bachelors degree equivalent to 180 ECTS European credits
- If you are applying for admission in Masters Year 2 you must provide proof that you have successfully completed your first Masters Year with an equivalence of 240 ECTS European credits
- Applicants will have to carry out their Internship within the laboratories which are under ENS de Lyon supervision
GRADUATE + Scholarships
- All students may apply for the scholarship but priority will be given to the students coming from abroad
- There is no age limit for applicants, so anyone can apply
- Candidates must be applying for their first year of Masters study ore are already in their second and last year
- For applicants applying for their first masters year, you must provide proof that you have obtained a bachelors degree equivalent to 180 ECTS European credits
- If you are applying for admission in Masters Year 2 you must provide proof that you have successfully completed your first Masters Year with an equivalence of 240 ECTS European credits
Application
You must first submit your application for the scholarship by completeing . To apply, you must complete your application by visiting the program page that you have selected. You must also prepare and submit the following support documents
- Applicants must submit two referee letters from professors who have close knowledge of your work
- You must prepare and submit a Motivation Letter
- Your most recent Curriculum Vitae (How to create a Europass CV)
- Include all your Certificates of diplomas and degrees that you obtained preciously
- You must submit your University academic transcript of records
- Some degree programs may require you to submit a certificate of Proficiency in French with
- a Minimum B2 or C1 level depending on the Master’s chosen
- Official document : certification (DALF, DELF, TCF) or document from your University
- If you are coming from a French Speaking country, you can join a letter in French stating this point
- Some degree programs may require you to submit a certificate of Proficiency in English with
- Minimum of C1 in Computer sciences
- Minimum of B2 for other Master’s program
- Official document : certification (ELTS or TOEFL) or document from your University.
- If you are coming from a French Speaking country you can join a letter in French stating this point otherwise you may state that you don’t know French
