Applications for the Queen Mary University of London DeepMind Scholarship for International Master’s degree students is now open. This programme aims to support and encourage students from unrepresented and unprivileged groups in their endeavor to attain an Education. The scholarship is offered for postgraduate masters degree courses in the fields of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Computer Science.
Applicants for the scholarship must be Female or black students (Female students regardless of their ethnicity OR both female and male black students) eligible and planning to enroll for a Masters degree course in one of the above mentioned fields at the Queen Mary University of London in the United Kingdom. Applicants may be both UK or International students.
For the 2022 academic year, the Queen Mary University of London is offering a total of four (4) scholarships. These are fully funded scholarships to study in the UK, covering full tuition fees as well as living and travel allowances. Benefits
The Queen Mary University of London DeepMind Scholarship is a fully funded scholarship to study in the UK (United Kingdom). Selected applicates will receive the following benefits
- The scholarship will cover the full cost of your tuition fees worth £12,250 for UK students or £28,950 for International students.
- You will receive and annual living allowance worth £15,480 to cover all your daily living expenses including accommodation.
- The scholarship also includes an annual travel grant worth £2,200
- There is also a one-off equipment grant worth £1,700 to purchase study materials such as laptops and scholastics.
Eligibility
Who should apply for this scholarship? All applicants must meet the following conditions if they are to be considered for the scholarship.
- The scholarship is open to both UK as well as international students.
- Applicants must either be female (both UK and international students) or both male and female (black students) in order to apply.
- Black students must fall under one of the following categories:
- Black African
- Black Caribbean
- Black Other
- Mixed – White and Black Caribbean
- Mixed – White and Black African
- Other mixed background (to include Black African, Black Caribbean or Black Other)
- You must have applied and received an offer for one of the eligible Master’s degree prrogrammes:
- MSc in Artificial Intelligence (Full Time)MSc Computer Science (Full Time)
- MSc Computer Games (Full Time)
- MSc in Machine Learning for Visual Data Analytics (Full Time) at Queen Mary University of London.
- Applicants must be planning to commence their studies in September 2023

After receiving your offer, you must now download and complete the DeepMind Scholarship application form. Along with this form, you will need to submit the following required documents.
- You must include an offer letter as evidence of your admission for one of the eligible(above mentioned) Master’s degree programmes at Queen Mary University of London.
- The fully competed DeepMind Scholarship application form. The application form is downloaded from the programme website.
- Remember to include (within the application form) a short statement stating the reasons why you would like to be considered for the scholarship. You should also explain what motivated your interest in a Masters’ degree in your chosen subject at Queen Mary, and how you will benefit from the scholarship
- An up-to-date curriculum vitae
