Apply for the Government of Azerbaijan Scholarship Program for International Students. The scholarship grant is a combination of two educational grants offered by the government f Azerbaijan namely, the Educational Grant Programme for the Citizens of the Member Countries of the Organization for Islamic Cooperation as well as the Educational Grant Programme for the Citizens of the Member Countries of the Non-Aligned Movement.
The scholarship programme is dedicated to students who wish to apply for an undergraduate, graduate and Doctoral degree programmes and provides an opportunity to the selected applicants to study at leading universities of Azerbaijan. The scholarships are offered at an annual basis and cover programmes including preparatory courses, undergraduate degree courses, graduate degree programmes, doctoral and research programmes as well as general medicine/residency programmes.
Eligible candidates must have their application documents submitted by the respective state entities of their country such as Ministries or Embassies, to any Embassy or to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan. You will be able to study at any state University in Azerbaijan including:
ADA University, Azerbaijan University of Languages , Azerbaijan State Agricultural University , Azerbaijan State University of Economics , Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Arts , Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University , Baku Higher Oil School , Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University , Azerbaijan Arts Academy , zerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction , Azerbaijan National Conservatory , Azerbaijan Technical University , Azerbaijan Medical University , Azerbaijan University of Tourism and Management , Baku State University , Baku Engineering University , Baku Slavic University , Nakhchivan State University , Baku Music Academy named after Uzeyir Hajibeyov , Khazar University , Ganja State University
Benefits
Selected applicants will be eligible for the following benefits
- You will receive coverage for the cost of Tuition fees for your sleeted programme
- scholarship recipients will receive coverage for International flight equivalent to an economy class ticket once in a year
- You will be eligible for a Monthly allowance worth 800 AZN including meals, accommodation and cost of utilities for the whole duration of your programme
- Selected applicants will receive coverage for medical insurance during their stay in Azerbaijan
- Costs incurred for visa and registration will also be covered
Eligibility
- Applicants must be citizens of an OIC and a NAM member country (Please see full list here)
- Students applying for an undergraduate and general medicine programmes must younger than 25 years at the time of application
- If you are applying for a graduate degree and residency programmes, you must be younger than 30 years of age
- Applicants for doctoral degree programmes must be younger than 40 years at the time of application
Application
Interested applicants must seek official nomination from their respective state entities in their home countries. Nominating entities may be Ministries, Embassies and other governmental organizations. Nominations should be addressed to the Embassies or to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan. You application must include the following documents.
- A fully and correctly completed application form
- The applicant’s Diplomas and academic transcripts of records from prior High School or University studies
- You must include a copy of your Passport
- A health certificate detailing your general health status (including HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis B and C tests)
- Your most recent CV or Resume
- Applicants are required to submit a Motivation Letter stressing their reasons for applying
- A Proof of English Proficiency if your programme is offered in English. Accepted certificates are IELTS 5, TOEFL 40 for undergraduate programmes and IELTS 5.5, TOEFL 50 for other programmes
