Applications are now open for the European Central Bank ECB Scholarship for women. The ECB scholarship offer a total of 15 scholarships to 15 female students who are currently enrolled in a Master’s degree programme. Applicants must be citizens of a European Union Country.
The main aim of the scholarship is to inspire female students and promote the pursuit of postgraduate studies in the fields of Economics, Engineering, Statistics and computing. Potential candidates are female students who are currently enrolled in a Master’s degree programme in one of the mentioned field at a European University.
Each scholarship grant is worth €10,000 and is intended to help recipients finance their studies, giving them a peace of mind to concentrate on their studies and achieve their goals.
Benefits
Students who are selected for the scholarship will receive the following benefits.
- Each scholarship recipient will receive a grant worth €10,000.
- Students may use the grant to cover their tuition fees of pay for their study related expenses
- Selected recipients will also have a rare opportunity to get an insight of the workings of the Central Banking and supervision functions of ECB.
- You will also receive mentorship from an ECB economist and experts in the fields of banking supervision, statistics, engineering or information technology
Eligibility
To apply for the ECB scholarship for women, you must meet the following conditions
- The scholarship is specially dedicated to female students.
- Applicants must be citizens of a European Union member state.
- You must be currently enrolled in a Master’s degree programme at a European University in the fields of Economics, Engineering, Statistics and computing.
- Applicants have demonstrate excellent academic performance in their undergraduate studies and obtained excellent grades.
- Priority will be given to students who are facing funding gap that posses as a challenge for the to pursue their studies.

- A motivation letter explain the reasons for choosing your study field and your career aspirations.
- Give information detailing your current funding situation.
- Include a proof of enrollment or acceptance to a master’s degree programme in one of the above mentioned fields.
- Attach your degree, diploma or transcript of records for your completed undergraduate studies.
- Include evidence of exceptional and excellent academic performance.
